Requirements from June 7th, 2021 – July 4th, 2021 according to the current regulation:

  • Gastronomy:

(1) Gastronomic offers may be made available in the open air and in closed rooms under the following conditions:

1. Gastronomic offers may only be made available between 5 a.m. and midnight.

2. The operator must ensure that there is a minimum distance of 1.5 m between all guests, unless they belong to the group of people named in Section 6 (1). 

3. In rural districts and urban districts in which the 7-day incidence is between 50 and 100, guests from several households at one table require a test certificate in accordance with § 4. 

4. In buildings and closed rooms, staff must wear a mask when they come into contact with guests, and FFP2 masks are mandatory for guests as long as they are not sitting at the table. 

5. The operator has to work out a protection and hygiene concept in accordance with the framework concept, which is announced by the responsible state ministries in agreement with the state ministry for health and care, and present it to the responsible district administrative authority upon request.

6. The operator has to collect the contact details of the guests in accordance with § 5.

(2) Pure pubs that require a license in accordance with Section 1, Paragraph 1, No. 1 and Section 2 of the Restaurant Act may only open in the open air. 2 Abs. 1 applies accordingly. 

(3) The dispensing and delivery of take-away meals and drinks are permitted. In buildings and closed rooms, staff must wear a mask if they come into contact with customers, and customers must wear FFP2 masks. Purchased take-away food and drinks may not be consumed at the place of purchase or in its immediate vicinity.

  • Alcohol:

The consumption of alcohol is prohibited on public traffic areas in city centers and in other public places in the open air, where people are either confined or not only temporarily. The specific affected locations are to be determined by the responsible district administrative authority.

  • Hotel business:

Accommodation offers from hotels, accommodation establishments, school camps, youth hostels, campsites and all other commercial or paid accommodation may be made available under the following conditions:

1. Every overnight guest, regardless of the 7-day incidence on site, must present a test certificate upon arrival in accordance with § 4.

2. In rural districts and urban districts with a 7-day incidence between 50 and 100, guests also require a test certificate for each additional 48 hours in accordance with § 4. 

3. Guests may only be accommodated in a room or a residential unit within the scope of the contact restrictions in accordance with § 6.

4. The operator takes suitable measures to ensure that there is always a minimum distance of 1.5 m between guests who are not accommodated in a room or a residential unit, and between guests and staff.

5. For the staff, as far as they come into contact with guests, as well as for the guests, as long as they are not at the table in the restaurant area or in their living unit, a mask is compulsory; Section 14, Paragraph 1, Clause 1, No. 2, Clause 2 applies accordingly.

6. The operator has to work out a protection and hygiene concept on the basis of a framework concept for accommodation establishments made known by the State Ministries for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and for Health and Care and to present it to the responsible district administrative authority upon request.

7. The operator has to collect the contact details of the guests in accordance with § 5.

  • Events:

(1) Public events for special occasions and with a clearly limited and invited group of people from the start

1. in counties and urban districts with a 7-day incidence between 50 and 100 up to 25 people in closed rooms and up to 50 people in the open air and 

2. In rural districts and urban districts that do not exceed a 7-day incidence of 50, up to 50 people in closed rooms and up to 100 people in the open air, including vaccinated or recovered people, are permitted. In counties and urban districts with a 7-day incidence between 50 and 100, the participants must have a test certificate in accordance with § 4. (2) For private events on special occasions and with a group of people who are limited and invited from the start, such as birthday, wedding or christening celebrations and club meetings, Paragraph 1 applies accordingly with the proviso that the specified personal limits according to Section 8 Paragraph 2 SchAusnahmV plus vaccinated or recovered people.

(3) In addition, events, assemblies, unless they are assemblies according to § 9, gatherings and public festivities are prohibited nationwide. 

(4) Celebrations in public places and facilities is prohibited.

For conferences, congresses and comparable events, Section 25, Paragraph 1 applies accordingly, with the proviso that the framework concept must be drawn up by the State Ministries for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy as well as for Health and Care.

Trade fairs and similar events are prohibited.

  • Discos:

Clubs, discos, other entertainment venues and similar leisure facilities are closed.
